Lina Norell (b. 1983 in Eda, Sweden) holds a MFA from Oslo Academy of Fine art (2017) and a BA in Fine art and art history from Goldsmiths College, London. Working mainly with painting, her work often takes a point of departure in nature and structures of organic matter. It also engages in the contrast between the painterly surface and the physical relationship between the work and the viewer.
Lina has previously exhibited in Galleri LNM, Oslo; Holodeck, Oslo; Konstfrämjandet Värmlands Konstnärsförbund, Karlstad and Institute for New Connotative Action in Seattle as well as in group exhibitions in England, Italy, USA, Sweden and Norway.
